CEUs How To Get Continuing Education Units

Continuing education units (CEUs) are a nationally recognized way to document professional development for learning experiences and activities for adult learners in various settings.

The following online courses available on this site have been approved for CEU credit by the accrediting bodies shown for each course tile:

To receive CEU credit for successful completion of the above courses, you must:

  1. Be a member of at least one of the accrediting associations providing credit for the course.
  2. Enable JavaScript in your Web browser to use the functions needed for CEUs (normally enabled on most machines).
  3. Set your Web browser to accept Cookies (normally enabled on most machines).
  4. Register as a member of one of the accrediting associations in the "organizations" drop-down list. All information you provide remains confidential and is not provided to any outside institution.
  5. Login with the E-mail address and Password you used to register.
  6. Complete each quiz within the course with a passing score of at least 70 percent.
  7. Check your progress by clicking on My Account.

  10. From the My Account page, you can print a verification of successful completion form showing, your name, the course title, completion date, your professional organization, and the number of credits received.

  11. To print an actual certificate, you need to have a copy of the free Adobe® Reader® software installed on your computer.
  12. Contact your professional organization to arrange for receipt of your CEU credits.
Note: CSAP does not pass course completion information to the student's professional organization.

How Quizzes Work

Quizzes appear at the end of most course modules. You may be prompted to select whether to take the quiz for "Credit" or "Non-Credit."

Anyone may take the courses and/or quizzes for "Non-Credit." However, in order to generate a certificate of completion for use in obtaining CEUs, you must be a registered user, logged in, and you must take the quizzes for "Credit."

If you are not already logged in and you select "Credit" you will be forwarded to the Login page. From there you can either Login, or you can Register as a new user. In courses that offer CEUs, you may be asked to choose to take a quiz for Credit or Non-Credit. For CEUs you must select "Credit."
