Gender Stereotyping

These items measure gender stereotyping in the context of relationships and responsibility. Youths are asked to check the response that best corresponds to their beliefs.

Scoring and Analysis

Point values for items 1-6 are assigned as follows:

Strongly agree= 4
Agree= 3
Disagree = 2
Strongly disagree= 1

Scoring for item 7 should be done using reverse coding, with strongly agree receiving a value of 1, and strongly disagree receiving a value of 4. Point values are summed for each respondent and divided by the number of items. The intended range of scores is 1-4, with a higher score indicating a more stereotypical attitude.
